Once Upon a Time: Megan & Finley’s Sage Green Barn Wedding at Lillibrooke

Once upon a time, long before we ever truly met, our story had already quietly begun. I had known of Fin for years, his name coming up through my friends, his world always just brushing past mine. I admired him from a distance more than I ever let on, but I never found the courage to say anything.

Then, years later, in a way that still feels a little like fate, we found each other online. From the very first conversation it was effortless, as if we had known each other far longer than we had. We laughed easily, talked endlessly, and before I knew it he had become such an important part of my life.

Since then we’ve been side by side through everything, always supporting each other, always finding reasons to laugh, always choosing each other. Everyone around us says we were meant for each other, and honestly, I believe that too. This isn’t just our love story. It’s our once upon a time, and our forever after.

We always dreamed of a wedding that was about more than just us: a day where our two families became one, filled with love, laughter and unforgettable moments. We wanted something fun, relaxed and truly us. A rustic barn had always been our vision, and we loved the idea of natural wood paired with our favourite colour, sage green. Lillibrooke delivered exactly that.

When we pictured our perfect venue, we always came back to the same feeling: something rustic, full of charm, with that warm barn atmosphere we both loved. We wanted a space that felt open and welcoming, with plenty of room to celebrate with all our family and friends, and it was important for it to be close to home so everyone could easily share in our day. The moment we found Lillibrooke Manor & Barns, we knew it was exactly where we were meant to celebrate the start of our forever.

Only one word can describe the food: WOW! So many of our loved ones told us it was Michelin-star quality. Most of our guests had the chicken with cauliflower purée, and our VIP guests had the beef sirloin. Everything was impeccable, full of flavour and character. Thank you, Heritage Venues!
