Wedding day planning
What started off as a simple swipe-right, turned into a forever love story for Sara and Chris who met in 2017.
With their wedding starting the next chapter in their life, they already had a good idea of what they hoped the big day would bring.
Sara and Chris chose a colour scheme of navy, burgundy and hints of blush to set the mood. For decorations, the pair wanted to use pictures that documented their relationship to add a personal touch to our beautiful manor.
The fun-loving pair also wanted to host an event to remember, with all the food and drink anyone could want, sweetie tables and a beer pong table for those with a competitive streak.

Working with Lillibrooke Manor to bring their ideas to life, the pair added all the little touches for a special day completely unique to them.

The pair have a passion for food, which is reflected in their simple yet delicious menu that offered both meat and vegetarian options for guests:
Starter – Duo of duck or grilled vegetable tartlets
Main – Slow cooked beef sirloin with fondant potatoes sauteed spinach, carrot puree and onion crumble or wild mushroom ravioli with black truffle sauce or Butternut squash and mixed bean lasagna
Desserts – Trio of chocolate brownie, chocolate mousse and lemon meringue tart or vegan salted caramel brownie with vegan ice cream

Advice for other couples
After a magical day at Lillibrooke Manor, we asked Sara and Chris what they would share with other couples who are in the process of planning their big day.
“Plan your day together, if you love something go for it! Don’t do things on your day to please others, it’s about you two!!”
And, most importantly, “Have FUN, it flies by.”
A wedding day to remember
Your wedding day is said to be the happiest day of your life, which was definitely the case for Sara and Chris.
When asked to transport themselves back to their favourite moment from the day, they said “Our ceremony, The Registrar from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, she had the perfect level of care and comedy, she made our day everything we wanted and more!”
