Just this year Lillibrooke Manor won the ‘Thames Valley Wedding Venue of the Year’ award, which is why we thought we’d tell you about what goes on behind the scenes of an award-winning wedding and events venue.
The large Heritage Venues team based at Lillibrooke Manor works as one to delight their clients, never losing the personal touch however many events there are.
Facilities & Venue Management – Rory deals with everything that a listed 15th century venue and 15 acres of grounds can throw at him. All those things that are taken for granted behind the scenes keep everyone comfortable and safe in a beautifully maintained environment, all managed personally by him.
Sales & Events Team – Jonny, Ellie and Laura start by sending detailed information immediately to any enquiry, then arranging a one-to-one viewing. During the venue tour they get to know their customer, tailor the tour to their needs, show them every area of our stunning venue, and answer every question – including some they may not have thought of yet! The customers are then given continued guidance, tailored quotes to fit their budget, and ongoing support.
Operations & Events Team – Alys, Fiona and Kate step in closer to the event to work on logistics and detailed planning of the itinerary, including all the special requirements, menus, table plans, regular liaison with the Chefs, full briefing to the event team, and providing invaluable guidance and support to the customer throughout. Their organised and experienced approach helps calm even the most nervous brides, and the most time-poor corporate organisers!
Kitchen Team – Head Chef Krimo, who trained under Marco Pierre White amongst others, leads an experienced and highly creative team of Chefs. Bartosz, Noreddine, Kasia and Deyan all share his passion to deliver superb food, beautifully presented, using the best ingredients. Working from the purpose-built banqueting kitchens opened at Lillibrooke in the summer of 2018, they all acknowledge that they simply couldn’t do what they do without the amazing support of their tireless KPs, Jon and Aldona.
The event itself sees an army of trusted and highly trained event staff to set up the venue, laying everything out as planned with an unsurpassed attention to detail. The dedicated Event Managers Vincent, Sam, Annabel and Louise are long-standing, highly qualified and experienced in their craft, calmly overseeing their teams and providing hugely appreciated personal service to the customer throughout their event.
Feedback and glowing reviews are what the team live for, to know all their combined hard work led to the customer and all their guests having the most wonderful time. Emails are displayed in the offices as a reminder during demanding days of how worthwhile it all is!
The success of Lilllibrooke Manor & Barns has led to the very recent appointment of the Heritage Venues team to manage another local venue – the stunning Stanlake Park Wine Estate in Twyford. With a beautiful Coach House, Walled Garden and Barn in the stunning setting of their vineyards, the estate caters for the growing trend for quality British wines.

I just wanted to pass on my appreciation to everyone who worked on the planning and execution of our wedding on Saturday (12th October) we had an excellent time and you were all so lovely and accommodating on the day helping me solve some last minute problems and keeping me sane.
